Colorectal cancer is the third leading cause of cancer-related deaths in the world and death is usually attributed to disease progression with recurrence and metastases. Bone metastases from colorectal cancer is an uncommon event and when occurs, usually as a late manifestation of the disease, is preceded by liver or lungs metastases. The most common sites of osseous metastases are the vertebral column, pelvis and the sacral regions.
Early diagnosis is important for improving quality of life in these patients.
