This survey of patients with chronic heart failure was conducted to find out participant familiarity with guideline-directed medical therapy for heart failure. Most participants were familiar with β-blockers, ACE-inhibitors, ARBs, and diuretics. Only 24.9% were familiar with angiotensin receptor–neprilysin inhibitors or mineralocorticoid receptor antagonists. Adoption of guideline-directed medical therapy for heart failure in the US may be improved by enhanced patient education and shared decision-making.
