Ovarian cancer remains one of the most aggressive gynecologic malignancies especially due to the fact that most patients are diagnosed in an advanced stage of the disease. It has been widely advocated that stage at diagnosis is an important prognostic factor and in the meantime an important criterion for selection of the most appropriate therapy.
